Both cases work incorrectly for me. Does nav panel works for you?
I reduced number of slides to 2, and it now switches correctly, altough nav panel still doesn't work + for some reason slider doesn't render first slide at the beginning (it shows empty space, same bug was earlier).
Empty space bug. If you click prev or next, or just wait a little (this slider has auto slide change), it will show slide #2, and after that bug disappears.
Hmm, not seeing the empty space bug. I was getting "too much recursion" errors in the console though, before you reduced the number of slides. That sounds like the script is broken, but I also noticed that you installed a separate, outdated copy at MediaWiki:Slider.js. I'm wondering if the two versions were interfering with each other, so could you try the following?
* Delete the old script (linked above)
* Delete the associated CSS page
* Remove the second "importArticles" call from MediaWiki:Common.js
You don't need to keep any of that stuff anyway, since you're using MediaWiki:ImportJS to install ResponsiveSlider, and removing it will improve your wiki's performance.
I've deleted everything you listed. However, changes to Common.js requires review, so it's not active yet.
But old script is already deleted, so it should has no effect by now.
You were absolutely right, the script was broken. I made a couple of edits which should fix it, but once again we have to wait for Fandom staff to review the changes.
(Just for future reference, Frostvalor contacted me on Discord and mentioned that the slider wasn't initializing correctly for some people. There's a thread on his wiki with more info.)
Hey, I've been examining the main page of your wiki and can confirm that the slider doesn't work correctly. It appears to be the same issue as before: the slider is initially blank, and doesn't autoplay until you click a button; each slide enters from the bottom, rather than the left; and only the first button loads in on the navigation panel.
I have a hypothesis about what's causing the problem, but I need some help testing it, to make sure the behavior I'm observing isn't localized to my machine. Can you verify that the following steps work for you?
1. Open the main page of your wiki in a new window.
2. The slider should be broken, as described above.
3. Resize your window. It doesn't matter how, or by how much, as long as the dimensions of your window change.
4. The slider should work correctly.
5. Reload the page.
6. The slider should be broken again.
7. Resize your window again, returning it to whatever dimensions you normally use.
8. The slider should work correctly again.
Thanks!
I've done that, and you are right! Everything is like you say.
