Hi !
I'm the owner of the Bot. I am currently writing a node.js (Javascript) to automate the updating of some pages on the Habitica Wiki.
I am currently using the standard javascript edit script as shown on Media Wiki; https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/API:Edit#JavaScript. Using this script, I am able to edit the page specified, but not as my Bot. Instead it shows as unknown edit from IP.
Just to confirm,
My bot account is marked as a Bot.
I have logged into https://habitica.fandom.com/wiki/Special:BotPasswords from my Bot Account and created a bot username and password.
I have changed the bot_username to username provided [BOT NAME]@XXXX
I have changed the bot_password to the one given.
I have change the url at the top to https://habitica.fandom.com/api.php
As stated before, it creates the edit as expected, but it does from an IP anonymously. I have used the script https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/API:Login#JavaScript, with the above changes and get
the reply I get is "The supplied credentials could not be authenticated."
Anyone know I have missed anything? Is there something special with Fandom wiki that does not allow this to happen?
Thank you for your time.
