Necro-update:

This weekend I sent a ticket to staff describing what their script does on ToC's, and asked for a solution on their side to either stop it on all wikis, or at least remove it per wiki on demand.

Kirkburn replied today:

I think this change is likely not intentional - I've filed an engineering ticket to look into what's causing this, and to stop it!

In fact, I don't even know who reviews these JS pages.

Ok, I guess that's the purpose of the JS review process. I'll edit it now.

@HumansCanWinElves, do you think we can update the code now? I've been using the new code with your fix since December with no issues.

Exactly. If at least there was a way to track some of the wikis that have this script installed, I could go and let them a message.

Hey, do you think it's worth updating the original code for just that change to SVG? I'm afraid that could have any undesirable side effects due to this jQuery compatibility problem.

I was trying that on the browser snipet, so maybe it didn't load as it should.

But, anyway, a wiki link wasn't what I was looking for, as it doesn't really benefit the vast majority of readers (who will never edit pages, even less in source mode).

Another thing, if you don't mind. In the code, aside from jumping to heading when user clicks on the icon, there seems to be an attempt to "copy the link". Do you think it's possible to fix that as well?

I've checked the content of each page with this query, and then I deleted them with this sript (by User:KockaAdmiralac):

deletePage(PAGE-ID)

Replacing 'PAGE-ID' with the ID number of each page.

The deletion of pages with bad title through this script however doesn't generate logs on Special:RecentChanges, Special:Log, or Special:Contributions. But we can know the bad pages are gone because they disappeared from the special page list I shared on OP. No more Badtitles there.

Sure! That worked on my personal JS!

EDIT: For additional reference, as the Fandom script only runs on the FandomDesktop version of the site, the (floating) ToC on FandomMobile will always display the items with their original styles.

Also thanks to HCWE not only for the script, but also for explaining things so well to JS-numbs like me.

I tried that on the browser snippets and it didn't work. When I ran it on the page, it just added a log on console reading:

{add: f, remove: f, fire: f}

When I block the following file with a browser extension, the style on ToC is preserved:

But obviously several other Fandom functionalities like the search modal, laze loading images, and comments, also break 😑

That's a possibility. In your opinion, would be harder writing a script to prevent beforehand the removal of the styles?
