MinutelyWider is a stylesheet that makes the content container page just a bit wider, at the cost of having the global navigation bar collapsed to the left. This also locks the content container's width. A spiritual successor of FullWidthOasis.

Compatibility

This stylesheet is generally incompatible with any other script or stylesheet that alters the position or transformation of the sidebar container and/or the global navigation, such as:

  • DynamicOldNav, this stylesheet overflows the sidebar and the container and such making them unusable. A modification to MinutelyWider made most of the sidebar-altering stylesheet generally compatible.
  • EmeraldGlobalNav, this stylesheet shifts the user profile icon way to the upper right of the screen. Use MediaWiki:MinutelyWider/egn.css.
  • HydraRevived, this modification shifts the entire content page down, and incorrectly collapses the global nav.

Compatibility with right-to-left languages is dependant of RightToLeftFixes. This fixes 90% of all incompatibilities with the RTL direction. ( !! However, recently, Fandom changed something related to their global nav code that made it locked to the side in right-to-left languages, I'm trying to fix this. !! )

However, scripts and stylesheets that only alter the contents or looks of the global navigation will work normally, such as:

  • SlightlyWider. A stylesheet that instead of collapsing the global nav, will segment it instead. A great inclusion if you do not like how MinutelyWider does things. Also nicely interops with it.
