This is the talk page for discussing improvements to the FirstEditDate page.

Seems to cause problems[]

A few days ago this was added at the Hello! Project Wiki. Though it correctly fulfilled its function, people started noticing problems with other things from ImportJS. Can't say everything for sure, but once FirstEditDate was removed (since we didn't see what else had changed recently) User_Avatar_Finder and YoutubePlayer started working again.--JoshuaJSlone (talk) 18:11, 17 May 2021 (UTC)

What a weird situation, the scripts shouldn't affect each other. I've tried to use them on my test wiki, but I couldn't reproduce the issue - all of the scripts were working perfectly. What was happen on your wiki? Did the scripts not loading, were there any error messages in your browser's console? What were the conditions when the problem was appeared? latest?path-prefix=ru Kofirs2634 (wc) 15:18, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
No noticeable error messages to the average user. I'm not familiar enough with the console to know what to look for. But I can replicate it. I'm not an admin at the wiki I linked before, but another I am and have been setting up two language versions side by side, so other than slight cosmetic differences they've got the same things going on. I added User_Avatar_Finder and YoutubePlayer to ImportJS for both, but FirstEditDate only to the English one. (Japanese ImportJS, English ImportJS). Both also have the templates necessary to use those. I then set up a page on both called FirstEditTest with the same contents, a single use each of User_Avatar_Finder and YoutubePlayer. Japanese FirstEditTest shows them, English FirstEditTest does not.--JoshuaJSlone (talk) 01:50, 22 May 2021 (UTC)
The console is empty. It seems that this effect creates a missing semicolon at the end of the script. I've added it, let's see if it helps. latest?path-prefix=ru Kofirs2634 (wc) 09:39, 22 May 2021 (UTC)
Hey hey hey, it seems to be working!--JoshuaJSlone (talk) 13:35, 22 May 2021 (UTC)
Thank God, it was really a mistake. Now I know that I must write semicolons. :) latest?path-prefix=ru Kofirs2634 (wc) 15:29, 22 May 2021 (UTC)
