This is the talk page for discussing improvements to the ForceDefaultCursor page.

No pointers?

Rather than making everything use the default arrow cursor (unless of course, that's the purpose of this!), perhaps styles like the below could be used to hide custom wiki cursors: MediaWiki:NoCustomCursors.css

I've been using the above in my global.css for a fair while, and haven't seen any issues. - OneTwoThreeFall (talk) 11:01, July 20, 2016 (UTC)

Hey! The initial point of the code snippet was to make everything the default cursor (hence, ForceDefaultCursor :P). I know it might seem weird, but it's just my personal preference. I created the page for anyone who would like to try it out / use it. Note, I personally didn't come up with the code, I saw someone else using it and decided to share it since it seemed helpful.
I think your code would be better off on a page titled "RemoveCustomCursors" or the like, so that it will receive much more attention. :) -- Monochromatic Bunny 13:43, July 20, 2016 (UTC)
Ah, I wasn't sure whether you meant 'default' literally, or as opposed to custom cursors a wiki may use. That does seem weird though; you wouldn't know what is a link by hovering!
Good idea! I'll add it as a separate page, in case anybody is interested. - OneTwoThreeFall (talk) 16:19, July 20, 2016 (UTC)
Added it at NoCustomCursors, for anybody interested. - OneTwoThreeFall (talk) 10:18, July 27, 2016 (UTC)
In your CSS code, you use a selector of Flags. Is that in reference to the non-existent "Flags" feature? --Sajuuk 17:11, July 28, 2016 (UTC)
It was for the flags feature, yes. Sorry about the rather late response! - OneTwoThreeFall (talk) 10:18, September 29, 2016 (UTC)
