Suggestions to improve this script

Hello. I like this script, but I would like to suggest a few improvements to it:

  • Modernize the buttons under the masthead. The "Edit Profile" button is fully modernized. That's good, but I would also like for the "Create Blog Post" button to have the same style and position.
  • Add an Edit Greeting button. The "Edit Greeting" button is a button that makes people edit their wall greeting a lot more easily. While there already is a script that does that, this script should include one. The button should be located on the masthead header and use the white and WDS secondary button style.
  • Fully modernize the Message Wall messages. While in a page that has the "Message Wall:" namespace, the messages are modernized. However, when you view one on a separate page, the message still displays their old style. Please fix this.

Hope you liked my improvements. ~Signed JustLeafy ( ͡| ͜' ͡| ) USER WALL 18:39, November 2, 2017 (UTC)

Hiding the edit button from other users is a Terms of Use violation. This is not a script, this is a stylesheet and your third and fourth point cannot be done without JavaScript. -- Cube-shaped garbage can 18:41, November 2, 2017 (UTC)
Don't you mean only the 2nd? It is possible to transform the old style button into WDS ones with pure CSS, and plus, the message walls styling was also made with pure CSS. Also, I removed the part about the "removing the edit profile button from others". —Preceding unsigned comment added by JustLeafy (talkcontribs) . Please sign your posts with ~~~~!
At first, I want to add all features from the original version. It's not possible to transform classic buttons to new ones w/o JS, I've already tried that. Even though I have code for it, I'm not sure how to implement it here, so for now I'm leaving it w/o it. Stylings for walls breaks forum, so at the moment it's limited to the Message Wall namepsace (or at least .Board elems), I'll fix that later.

Actually, it is possible to transform a classic button itself into a WDS one with CSS, but not when it has a dropdown button. BTW, it wouldn't actually look like one, but it'd look almost the same. In my wiki, some buttons look exactly like WDS ones, and it is possible to transform most of them with CSS only.
Also, if modernizing the separate message walls breaks the Forums, I'd suggest doing this project after the Forums get removed. ~Signed JustLeafy ( ͡| ͜' ͡| ) USER WALL 04:38, November 3, 2017 (UTC)
Doing them this way won't support primary and secondary color classes, which are different per wiki, so JS is required for that.
Luqgreg 18:39, November 3, 2017 (UTC)
True, but at least it will still have the WDS button style. ~Signed JustLeafy ( ͡| ͜' ͡| ) USER WALL 19:07, November 3, 2017 (UTC)

Question

What are you gonna add in this project, soon? ~Signed JustLeafy ( ͡| ͜' ͡| ) USER WALL 20:03, November 21, 2017 (UTC)

Also, I've modernized the profile masthead editor. ~Signed JustLeafy ( ͡| ͜' ͡| ) USER WALL 14:19, November 24, 2017 (UTC)
Sorry, but please create your own page for profile modernizations. IMO, your addition looks bad and I had better version of it in my mind already.
Luqgreg 18:23, November 24, 2017 (UTC)
Alright, that's fine. You can improve the stylesheet the way you like. ~Signed JustLeafy ( ͡| ͜' ͡| ) USER WALL 18:37, November 24, 2017 (UTC)

CSS imports

I don't see any reason to have the CSS imports separated from the script... they should be included in the script itself so users have to just add the script import. leviathan_89 @fandom 21:37, November 24, 2017 (UTC)

Oh, I see the JS is only for the edit button... leviathan_89 @fandom 22:57, November 24, 2017 (UTC)

Edit button

User talk and user blog pages don't have the "modern" edit button. leviathan_89 @fandom 17:19, November 26, 2017 (UTC)

Yeah, but I think it was intended for the "Edit Profile" button. I would like to see modernization and consistency for these buttons, too. ~Signed JustLeafy ( ͡| ͜' ͡| ) USER WALL 17:56, November 26, 2017 (UTC)

Not Working

Hey! I've added this script to my wiki's Wiki.css, but nothing happens. Any ideas why it's not working? Killer kev (talk) 16:23, March 10, 2018 (UTC)

Can you link to the wiki's CSS where you imported it? -- Cube-shaped garbage can 16:59, March 10, 2018 (UTC)

My bad. That was dumb of me. I actually thought that I had linked it. Killer kev (talk) 20:02, March 10, 2018 (UTC) http://riverdale.wikia.com/wiki/mediaWiki:Wikia.css

Try removing the import from your Wikia.css and then going to MediaWiki:Common.css and changing
@import url(/index.php?title=MediaWiki:Themes.css&action=raw&ctype=text/css);
to
@import url("/load.php?mode=articles&only=styles&articles=MediaWiki:Themes.css|u:dev:MediaWiki:ModernProfile/Masthead.css|u:dev:MediaWiki:ModernProfile/Wall.css");
-- Cube-shaped garbage can 20:05, March 10, 2018 (UTC)

Thanks! That worked. Killer kev (talk) 20:25, March 10, 2018 (UTC)

Rename

"Rename" from the Edit button can be very confusing to new users. I saw some circumstances where users were using the Rename feature to "change" their username. Moving userpages can end up really bad for a community. SG12 talkeditscontributions 17:52, March 23, 2018 (UTC)

It suddenly went away

I installed this script to my wiki, and afterwards, I installed some dropdown animation scripts into the common CSS. After I installed that script, the modern profile mastheads went away. How do I get them back? I don't feel like pasting the entire script here so here's how my wiki's common CSS appears. I Have The Power! (talk) 13:53, October 21, 2019 (UTC)

Hey there, please follow the instructions in this chart to combine your Common.css into your Wikia.css. Additionally, please follow these instructions to combine all your @imports together. puxlit (talk) 14:53, October 21, 2019 (UTC)
No need to combine the imports yourself, since I already did it. Replace all of your imports on your wiki's MediaWiki:Wikia.css and MediaWiki:Common.css and paste on MediaWiki:Common.css the following, combined import:
@import "/load.php?mode=articles&articles=u:dev:MediaWiki:ModernCommentsSection.css|u:dev:MediaWiki:RefreshedRCArrows.css|u:dev:MediaWiki:ContribsButtons.css|u:dev:MediaWiki:FandomizedToggles/code.css|u:dev:MediaWiki:FandomizedWikiFeatures.css|u:dev:MediaWiki:FandomizedInputboxes/code.css|u:dev:MediaWiki:FandomizedCategoryExhibition/code.css|u:dev:MediaWiki:UpgradedToolbar.css|u:dev:MediaWiki:FandomizedFieldsets.css|u:dev:MediaWiki:MinifiedLeftTabs/code.css|u:dev:MediaWiki:MinimalistSliderText/code.css|u:dev:RectangularButtons/code.css|u:dev:MediaWiki:FandomizedButtons.css|u:dev:MediaWiki:FandomizedThemeDesigner.css|u:dev:MediaWiki:EditorSourceMinimal/code.css|u:dev:MediaWiki:ModernLightbox.css|u:dev:MediaWiki:FandomizedLoadingScreens.css|u:dev:MediaWiki:NewCat%26LangBars.css|u:dev:MediaWiki:ModernPolls.css|u:dev:MediaWiki:RedesignedAdminDashboard.css|u:dev:MediaWiki:FandomizedTabs/tabviews.css|u:dev:MediaWiki:FandomizedTabs/tabbers.css|u:dev:MediaWiki:FandomizedAchievementsSystems/code.css|u:dev:MediaWiki:ModernProfile/Masthead.css|u:dev:MediaWiki:ModernProfile/Wall.css&only=styles";
