  • The add picture/video pop up windows are not viewable completely for phone users. The picture adding is partially available but the video adding is more than half missing.

    Please adjust it so phone users can also upload. Thankies ^^.

    (Will send pictures upon request if needed)

    • Alternative: use Special:Upload.

    • ^ And for videos, Special:WikiaVideoAdd.

    • Non of those links allow me to upload a gif or a video. Even if it worked a video can’t be chosen for a post since the choosing area is missing. Please advise.

    • You can't upload videos from your device, you can only embed them from other services like YouTube using the page I linked above. I'm not sure why can't you upload GIFs, though (uploading GIFs through Special:Upload on mobile works for me), other than possibly the GIF files not appearing in the picker (but that isn't an issue on Fandom's side).

      Anyways, this CSS rule by Noreplyz for making the modal windows fit the screen on mobile seems to be kind of working for me:

      @media only screen and (max-width: 700px) {
        .modalWrapper {
          box-sizing:border-box;
          width:100% !important;
          left:auto !important;
          margin-left:0 !important;
        }
      }

      Place it on a Special:MyPage/common.css page on the wiki where you need it and add ?debug=1 or &debug=1 at the end of the URL to your current page to make sure the CSS takes effect immediately instead of waiting for cache to clear.

      Not familiar with it. Can you explain how or link to a tutorial?

      What is the problem for devs on here to adjust it?

      (Managed to upload a gif somehow, ty.)

    • The users here can't change Fandom's code, that's what Fandom's engineering team (a subset of members of Fandom Staff) is doing. The most users here can do about it is supply you with enhancements (like the CSS snippet I provided above) that may fix your interface when you use them.

      To use the above snippet, you should:

      1. Go to w:Special:MyPage/global.css.
      2. Hit the Edit button.
      3. Paste the CSS snippet I provided above.
      4. Publish the page.
      5. Go to https://dev.fandom.com/wiki/Special:Images?debug=1.
      6. Open the modal and see if the fix worked.
      7. If it didn't, wait about an hour and visit the same link again just to make sure it's not a cache issue.

    • Thanks but where is the Edit?

      I was referred here by a fandom mod. My request was for the engineering team or whomever is coding this site.

      I’m happy to get help from users but the suggestions brought here did not change anything. Thank you for replaying and trying to help.

      If I was sent to the wrong place and this is not the place to bring up suggestions or request to the coders please advise on where I can contact the coders.

    • You can't contact the engineering team directly, but you can contact Fandom Staff and ask them to fix the bug. I'm sure they've been asked about it before, though, and as they prioritize old bugs by the number of users affected this might get fixed in a matter of months, years, or not at all. Meanwhile, you could follow the steps I mentioned above (I'm sure you still didn't finish the fourth step) to get a temporary fix for your issue.

    • Thank you ^^. Submitted a request, hopefully it will be fixed soon.
