RecentChangesMultiple

Hello Fewfre. First of all, your RCM script is purrrrfect :D.

But, I found a cookie issue :(. I have a RCM with 665 wikis (spammers these days), and the wikis are loading too fast, so the cookies gets messed up and it deletes me. Is there any way to make them load an an internal of 500ms instead? Yes it will take me 5 mins to load, but it won't log me out.

Thanks. — Jr Mime (talk) [VSTF] 01:03, October 4, 2015 (UTC)

A parameter for that would be good. Thanks! — Jr Mime (talk) [VSTF] 13:21, October 4, 2015 (UTC)
Thanks for the update! Looks like it works, just loading up the wikis I have.. Slowly! :p. And about onlyshowuser, I actually don't use that, I only use hideusers (so I can hide myself from these wikis). — Jr Mime (talk) [VSTF] 20:09, October 5, 2015 (UTC)

RecentChangesMultiple CSS import

Hey,
I've been moving CSS pages out of the article namespace to the MediaWiki namespace for some time now (MediaWiki namespace seems to be the most appropriate namespace for them, categorization of CSS code pages in the article namespace would look silly and there isn't a proper CSS editor in the article namespace) and it looks like RecentChangesMultiple has its stylesheet in the article namespace too. Could you consider moving it to MediaWiki namespace? I know RCM development is tracked through GitHub and I supposed you would have to change more than just one line to make the move happen.

Cheers! -- Cube-shaped garbage can 22:31, December 1, 2017 (UTC)

I think the script is approved now, so you can delete the stylesheet :)
Also, a migration of scripts to use HTTPS over HTTP where possible (which means replacing HTTP image URLs of images hosted on Wikia wih HTTPS ones, replacing http://wikiname.wikia.com with //wikiname.wikia.com where possible and generally using HTTPS over HTTP) and I've noticed RecentChangesMultiple uses a lot of links that could be changed to use HTTPS or no specific protocol. Could you consider updating the script to reflect these changes?
Also, I agree with your bio :P

Talk page bug

I see something weird going on here... FANDOM's page header is loader in the middle of the section... I also would like to suggest to implement I18n-js for you script, that would make easier adding and maintaining translations. leviathan_89 11:24, January 4, 2018 (UTC)

I brought the talk page thing up to you because I figured it was in your interest to keep it "functional", however, indeed now it's fine for me too... I honestly don't know what happened, must've been some sort of hiccup of the site. Anyway, the i18n was just a suggestion / making you aware of that, there is no need to argue anything, do what's best for the script. It came to my mind since I saw a few translations in your script to update, that's all. leviathan_89 15:01, January 4, 2018 (UTC)

RCM CSS (again)

Hey,
Just wanted to notify you that due to this, MediaWiki:RecentChangesMultiple/stylesheet.css is now MediaWiki:RecentChangesMultiple.css and you might want to change the name in the repository because it was changed in the live version recently.

Cheers! -- Cube-shaped garbage can 20:29, January 17, 2018 (UTC)

Sorry about this unexpected move - in hindsight, it would've been good to make sure authors of affected CSS pages knew about that discussion so they could have given their input. - OneTwoThreeFall talk 06:04, January 18, 2018 (UTC)

LastEdited and mainpages

Hi, I noticed your message on LastEdited's talkpage, where you said that you wished that it was disabled on the main page due to clutter, and I was wondering if that was due to it being sitewide, or just being there in general? --Little Red 00:49, March 30, 2020 (UTC)

Yeah I added an option for it to be enabled, but I was thinking of changing the default since it seems pretty useful to have on the talk page by default, plus it makes it so that wikis importing PageEditInfo don't have to get JS enabled to have it show on it on the main page --Little Red 04:40, March 30, 2020 (UTC)

RecentChangesMultiple needs rework?

Hi, on the current RCM script, there's an error on one of the Wikis that are on UCP. Will you ever do a rework of the RecentChangesMultiple script that fits for UCP Wikis?

The error looks something like this:

The error occurs for UCP wikis if the "logs" option is checked. Either uncheck that option, or use the hidelogs option, e.g. <div class="rc-content-multiple" data-params="hidelogs=1">
But hopefully Fewfre can update the script to support UCP.
Flanqer 19:44, August 14, 2020 (UTC)
Sorry, been meaning to look into UCP wikis (new message walls if nothing else), but haven't had anyone complain and none of my wikis have broken because of it so I've been lazy. If it is the log issue, then I am 95% sure ik the issue (I have hardcoded log behavior for fandom wikis due to old system). I'll look into this tomorrow! Fewfre 🔎 K🧀00:25 Sat, 15 Aug 2020

issue

https://community.fandom.com/wiki/User:UpnCbs06/RC

It’s not displaying the actual RC module and is only displaying the links, can you help me figure out what’s wrong? -UpnCbs06 (Message WallGuestbook) 05:31, August 16, 2020 (UTC)

Loads fine for me, even when I disable all my scripts and test using yours. My assumption is one of the other scripts you have is running into an error and causing other scripts not to run. If you know how to open up the web console and can give me any errors that show up I can try to narrow it down for you. Otherwise, I would recommend checking other scripts you run below mine on your JS file and seeing if they are still running correctly or not as well. I really do suspect this isn't my script's issue (my script hasn't been touched in months, and almost any error in my script would at least have the urls be replaces with a loading icon). Scroll(bar) error on RCM

Certain times when coming in and out of the RecentChangesMultiple website tab, the scrollbar was disappeared and I can't scroll up and down as a result. Is there an error for the code of this script? --Jamie248 [ TCE📝 ] 20:32, August 19, 2020 (UTC)

I can't think of anything that would cause that; however, I do notice that bug when i preview a diff or page view; could it actually be that that's causing the issue? Maybe you preview a change, leave, come back, then notice you can't scroll? Either way I clearly broke something so I'll look at this later tonight, sorry for the trouble! Fewfre 🔎 K🧀21:03 Wed, 19 Aug 2020
Alright, I think the issue was a null error causing the script to semi crash. I wrote some extra code to try to prevent this from happening, so hopefully it is fixed; if it's not, if you could take a screenshot of any errors in the developer console, that would be helpful! Fewfre 🔎 K🧀00:35 Fri, 21 Aug 2020

RCM not working on UCP

Apparently in like the last two days (since I last tested RCM on UCP), its now erroring out and not loading because p doesn't exist.

tLoadPromises = tLoadPromises.map(function(p) {
    var d = $.Deferred();
    p.then(d.resolve);
    return d;
});

--Little Red 08:06, August 28, 2020 (UTC)

Actually, it looks like that might have been due to my custom implementation of importArticles, but now I'm getting [RecentChangesMultiple] No "rc-content-multiple" container(s) found. --Little Red 08:21, August 28, 2020 (UTC)

1) nah its fine, it was my custom version of importArticles that was causing issues (since I just pass everything to mw.loader.load), not your code.
2) I went to get a screenshot of the results of document.querySelector('.rc-content-multiple, #rc-content-multiple') and apparently its working now so??? But the page is at w:c:developers:RCM if you want to check it out still. (also the rail doesn't seem to be going away? like its hidden, but the space for it is still there)
--Little Red 21:44, August 28, 2020 (UTC)
Also it seems that Fandom doesn't load the diff styles everywhere, so you'll need to do that (which can be done via loading the module via RL, see DarkAbuseFilter for an example). --Little Red 22:06, August 28, 2020 (UTC)
a) will do
b) thanks
c) kinda, you're already loading the diff styles (as you mentioned) but runtimeStyles themes it for the wiki (which makes it match the wiki's theme and be readable on dark themed wikis, otherwise this happens).

Fairly sure it's an issue with UCP logs, I'll look into it! And I did notice that VE issue, but didn't consider it worth fixing; I can look into it though, so long as some kind of hook is fired it's a simple enough fix. Thanks for the bug reports! Fewfre 🔎 K🧀02:59 Sat, 26 Sep 2020
