RE: Script request

Shouldn't be difficult. I had infact been using such a script on np; before I could just go and delete them myself offcourse--~UltimateSupreme 18:34, August 22, 2014 (UTC)

I am a bit sleepy so there might be some problems; but well here it is:
 * ~~~~~
 * @desc: Adds a button for easily adding templates to files.
 * @author: UltimateSupreme (
 * using code by Callofduty4
 * @License: CC-BY-SA -
(function($, mw, undefined) {
    'use strict';
    if (mw.config.get('wgCanonicalNamespace') !== 'File')
    var Options = {
            '{{No license}}': 'Unlicensed image',
            '{{No rationale}}': 'No Fairuse info',
            '{{Unused}}': 'Unused image',
            '{{Poor filename}}': 'Poor name'
        tempOptStr = '';
    for (var i in Options) {
        tempOptStr += '<option value="' + i + '" style="text-align:center;">' + Options[i] + '</option>';
    var html = '<p style="text-align:center;" class="TemplateAdder"><select id="FileTemplateAdder">' + tempOptStr + '</select>&nbsp;<a class="wikia-button" style="margin:0 1em; cursor:pointer;" id="templateSubmit">Add template</a>';
    $('#templateSubmit').click(function() {
        $(this).html('<img src="" style="vertical-align: baseline;" border="0" />');
        new mw.Api().post({
                format: 'json',
                action: 'edit',
                title: mw.config.get('wgPageName'),
                token: mw.user.tokens.get('editToken'),
                summary: 'Adding template: ' + $('#FileTemplateAdder').val(),
                minor: true,
                prependtext: $('#FileTemplateAdder').val() + "\n"
            .done(function() {
                $('#templateSubmit').text('Add this Template too!');
      'Template: ' + $('#FileTemplateAdder').val() + ' Added Successfully', 'confirm');
            .fail(function() {
      'Template addition failed!', 'error');
}).call(this, jQuery, mediaWiki);

Its currently wikia skin only--~UltimateSupreme 19:33, August 22, 2014 (UTC)

Try this:

if (jQuery.inArray("sysop", wgUserGroups) !=-1)
    mediaWiki.util.addPortletLink("AccountNavigation", "/wiki/Special:AdminDashboard", "Dashboard", "p-dashboard");

Currently, you'd have to add each thread you want manually--~UltimateSupreme 06:45, October 3, 2014 (UTC)

RE: WLH script

You don't really need to use jQuery, but here you go:

// Add edit link to WLH pages
// Taken from
// jQuery version by UltimateSupreme (
if (mw.config.values.wgCanonicalSpecialPageName === 'Whatlinkshere') {
    $("#mw-whatlinkshere-list").find("li").each(function () {
        "use strict";
        var $this = $(this),
            $link = '<span class = "mw-whatlinkshere-edit"><a title="Edit form" href="'
                    + $this.find("a").attr("href") + '?action=edit">(edit)</a></span>';

Dev Wiki:Requests for Codeeditor
~Curiouscrab (talk) 17:09, August 16, 2015 (UTC)

For now, it doesn't matter though. No one can edit any .js files anywhere currently because of the security measures, including code editors.Vogel100 (talk) 17:25, August 16, 2015 (UTC)
As CuriousCrab posted above, see Dev Wiki:Requests for Codeeditor. Right now, I'm making sure anyone who requests it is going through that page so they've definitely read the associated rules. cqm 11:09, 24 Aug 2015 (UTC)
Wikia are looking at various type of code review methods at the moment, but right now all we have is codeeditor to protect code here. If you do decide to reconsider, feel free to make a request and I'll get to it as as soon as I can :) cqm 11:32, 24 Aug 2015 (UTC)

Re:Bug with FileUpdate script

<Talkback> — Foodbandlt (talk) 15:54, September 29, 2015 (UTC)

Could you modify your ArchiveBoards script such that it acts similar to how it currently is, except the listed custom MediaWiki groups can create new threads and post in existing ones (but those not a part of said groups see the board and forums as archived)? Would that be feasible? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lord Kavpeny (talkcontribs) . Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

Undo war

Hi. Please stop edit warring on the CategoryRenameAuto-update talk page. I am necroposting, but I am adding to the conversation. I do not know where the policies of this wiki are, but I will look into it and see if necroposting is not allowed. Meanwhile, please do not undo my edits.

Looks like we posted at the exact same time on each other’s talk pages. Click here to check my response on my talk page.

PurgeBlogs One and PurgeBlogs Two

Hi there! You may want to take a look at (and possibly consolidate) MediaWiki:PurgeBlogs/code.js and MediaWiki:PurgeBlogs.js.
It seems User:Rappy 4187 copied PurgeBlogs/code.js to the MW namespace as PurgeBlogs.js before the mass script move, then PurgeBlogs/code.js was moved with everything else. Since then, PurgeBlogs.js has been reworked by User:Cqm, and PurgeBlogs/code.js has been reworked by User:KockaAdmiralac, so both differ from the original. - OneTwoThreeFall (talk) 08:46, September 1, 2016 (UTC)

(split thread) Ah, fair enough. I'll have a go at merging them then, since there are new translations/bugfixes in each that aren't in the other. - OneTwoThreeFall (talk) 09:11, September 1, 2016 (UTC)

AbuseLogRC update was approved, has the issue been solved as well? leviathan_89 @fandom 10:40, October 11, 2016 (UTC)

Hi, I answered you on Talk:AbuseLogRC. leviathan_89 @fandom 14:12, October 13, 2016 (UTC)
